One of the most helpful things we can do to improve our health is to find ways to reduce the stress in our lives and refine our coping skills. We can start by examining our relationships and ridding ourselves of those that are toxic for us and replacing them with relationships that are loving and supportive. Spend quiet time in prayer, visualization, listening to music or utilizing one of many meditation techniques. If you feel that you need additional support, utilize one of the many stress-relieving programs offering ways to improve communication skills, muscle relaxation techniques and new ways of looking at problems. We cannot realize optimal physical health without giving care and attention to our mental and emotional health.
