Waves of Healing

by Vanessa Cayle

Healing Today’s Ills with Yesterday’s Technology

Resonance technology had just begun to make an impact in the 1920’s and 1930’s as two pioneering physicians led the way with remarkable stories of healing using “frequencies.”  Dr. Royal Rife used frequencies emitted via sound/light wave ranges while Dr. Albert Abrams used plug-in the wall current that used frequencies.  Both practitioners had hoards of followers singing their praise of miraculous healings.  Both practitioners used very specific frequencies to target and presumably destroy pathogens and/or restore health.  Abrams even impressed a skeptical Upton Sinclair enough that he wrote an article titled House of Wonders describing the many healings he had witnessed in Abrams’ clinic.  The technology was snubbed and ridiculed by the current medical establishment and both of their names find more queries under “quackery” than not on Internet searches.

Yet the legend of the healings has lived on…and so has their pioneering work.  Today Rife’s technology continues to be sought after as an alternative for cancer treatment, among others.  Abram’s work has been recently updated and adopted by Frequency Specific Microcurrent™ (FSM). This noninvasive and gentle electrical stimulation modality has already been picked up by professional athletes for its remarkable ability to reduce inflammation, swelling and speed up recovery time.  It is the technology that was used by Terrell Owens in 2005 when he made his remarkable return to play in the Super Bowl only six weeks following a significant fracture.  This breakthrough technology is helping thousands in healing from nerve pain, Fibromyalgia, kidney

stone pain, shingles, neurological conditions as well as orthopedic conditions.  Unlike its predecessors, this technology comes with significant medical level training and the machines are FDA approved.  This has allowed its practitioners to use this pioneering technique in conjunction with traditional physical therapy, occupational therapy, naturopathic and medical practices.  Research has shown the ability to reduce inflammation and make physiological changes in inflammation (reduced inflammatory markers in blood tests) that have never been seen in any other medical treatments.

The technique uses “microcurrent” to administer the frequencies.  Microcurrent has been shown to speed up healing by increasing the body’s basic molecule of energy, called ATP, by 500%.  This free biological energy appears to greatly accelerate the rate of healing in bone, muscle and skin.  Microcurrent is current applied to the skin that is in the millionth of an amp range.  In addition, FSM as developed by Dr. Carol McMakin of Washington, has developed extensive proprietary lists of hundreds of frequencies to target specific tissues and conditions and has led the way in utilizing dual frequency combinations to increase the effect for the client.

Frequency Specific Seminars have been able to train over 1500 practitioners in the US to date.  A listing of practicing FSM professionals can be found at
